Description
This power supply is compatible with devices supporting Power Delivery technology, making it suitable for recharging a variety of other peripherals such as smartphones and laptops. It offers a maximum voltage of 5.1V and a current of 5A, ensuring a stable and reliable power supply.
In addition, the total power drawn from the Raspberry Pi 5's four USB ports is limited by default to 600 mA nominal. However, this limit is automatically increased to a nominal value of 1.6 A as soon as the USB-C PD power supply is detected.
This USB-C PD power supply is also capable of supplying 3 A at 9 V, 2.25 A at 12 V and 1.8 A at 15 V to PD-compatible products. This makes the power supply suitable for many general-purpose Pi, as well as other PD-compatible devices, going beyond the simple needs of the Raspberry Pi.
