The HutoPi Mini PC Switcher is a compact computer based on the Raspberry Pi 4, delivered assembled, configured and tested. No card to flash, no system to install: you plug in the power supply, the screen and the keyboard, and the workstation is up and running. Each unit is built in France and comes with a user guide in French and a warranty card.

Two systems in a single case

That is where it gets its name. Two complete desktop environments are preinstalled side by side, and you switch from one to the other at will, with no reformatting and no second machine. Chromium, MyAndroid and a selection of open source games are already in place.

Office and multimedia software included

• LibreOffice, compatible with Office suite formats (docx, xlsx, pptx)
• VLC, to play all audio and video formats
• uBlock, ad blocker built into the browser

Dual 4K display and full connectivity

The two micro HDMI ports allow simultaneous output to two 4K screens: useful for office work, monitoring stations or digital signage.

Any USB device is recognized: external hard drive, webcam, hub, printer, badge reader.

Silent cooling and safe shutdown

The metal case features automatic ventilation and heatsinks, for extended use without loss of performance. The Power button handles a clean system shutdown:

Is the Mini PC Switcher really ready to use?
Yes. The card is already flashed, the systems installed and the machine tested before shipping. You plug in the power supply, an HDMI screen and a keyboard: the desktop appears in less than a minute. Nothing to assemble, nothing to configure.

What does “Switcher” mean? How do you switch from one system to the other?
Two complete desktop environments coexist on the same storage. A utility on the desktop lets you switch from one to the other, followed by a restart. No reformatting, no data loss, no second SD card.

Which version should I choose, 4 GB or 8 GB of RAM?
The 4 GB version covers office work, web browsing, video playback and digital signage. The 8 GB version is recommended if you open many tabs at the same time, if you develop, or if the machine is used as a small server. Both come with 128 GB of storage.

Can I install my own software?
Yes, as on any Linux computer. You have a package manager and full administrator access.

Is the Switcher compatible with Word, Excel and PowerPoint?
LibreOffice is preinstalled and opens, edits and saves .docx, .xlsx and .pptx files. Online suites (Microsoft 365, Google Docs) also work through the browser.

Can you connect two screens?
Yes. The two micro HDMI ports handle simultaneous dual 4K display. The Mini PC pack comes with one cable; plan for a second micro HDMI to HDMI cable to use both outputs, or choose the All in 1 Pack, which includes them.

Which peripherals can I connect?
Any standard USB device: external hard drive, USB flash drive, webcam, printer, hub, badge reader, gamepad. Built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth cover wireless keyboards, mice, headsets and speakers.

Is the case noisy? Does it get hot?
The metal case includes heatsinks and an automatically triggered fan: it only spins when the temperature requires it. In everyday office use, it stays discreet and the machine does not suffer any heat-related drop in performance.

How do I shut the machine down properly?
The Power button handles a clean shutdown: long press of 3 seconds for a safe shutdown with power cut-off, double press to restart, long press of 5 seconds if the system freezes. There is never any need to unplug the cable.

Can I increase the storage?
Internal storage is configurable when ordering: 16, 32, 64, 128, 256 or 400 GB. You can also add an external USB 3.0 drive or a micro SD card.

Is the GPIO accessible?
Yes, the 40 GPIO pins remain accessible for your sensors, HATs and electronics projects, without dismantling the case.

Where is the product made and what is the warranty?
The Switcher is assembled and configured in France. Each pack contains a user guide in French and a warranty card.

Can it be used as a media center or retro console?
Yes. VLC is preinstalled for video playback, and open source games are provided out of the box. The 4K output and the A/V jack port are well suited to living room use.
