The kit Raspberry Pi 500 brings together everything you need to get started: the keyboard computer, its mouse, its power supply, the video cable and a microSD card with Raspberry Pi OS. Connect a display, power on, and you are ready. Inside the keyboard, the same quad-core Cortex-A76 processor at 2.4 GHz as the Raspberry Pi 5, 8 GB RAM and a large aluminium heatsink.

Compatibility and pitfalls
- Screen not included : any HDMI monitor or TV will do.
- No camera or DSI display connector : use a USB webcam and an HDMI display.
- No accessible PCIe : no M.2 HAT or internal NVMe SSD; a USB 3.0 SSD is still possible.
- Horizontal GPIO at the back : HATs do not plug in as they do on a Pi 5, so plan for cables or an expansion board.
