Description
Raspberry Pi 5 complete kit: everything you need to get started
This starter kit Raspberry Pi 5 brings together the board and all the essential official accessories to get it running from day one. Prepared by our partner workshop, it avoids the classic beginner mistakes (underpowered power supply, wrong video cable, overheating) and is just as suitable for learning computing as for setting up a server, a retro console or an office workstation.
Kit contents
- Raspberry Pi 5 with 4 GB, 8 GB or 16 GB of memory, your choice.
- Official 27 W USB-C power supply, Power Delivery compatible.
- Official micro-HDMI to HDMI cable 1 m, white.
- Official Raspberry Pi 5 case with built-in temperature-controlled fan.
- 32 GB microSD card with Raspberry Pi OS preinstalled : the kit boots up as soon as you first plug it in.
Highlights
- A kit 100% tailored to the Pi 5 : the 27 W power supply delivers 5.1 V 5 A and lets the Pi 5 raise the limit of its USB ports from 600 mA to 1.6 A for drives and SSDs.
- Active cooling : the case fan and its heatsink keep the board at the right temperature, even under heavy load.
- Two to three times faster than the Raspberry Pi 4 in CPU performance, with dual 4K display output at 60 frames per second.

Frequently asked questions
Raspberry Pi 5 kit: 4 GB, 8 GB or 16 GB?
4 GB is enough to get started, program and handle most projects. 8 GB gives you more comfort for office use with many tabs or several services. 16 GB makes sense for heavily loaded servers, virtualization and local AI.
Is the Raspberry Pi 5 kit complete?
Yes, as far as the computer is concerned: board, power supply, video cable, ventilated case and microSD card. You just need to add a display, a keyboard and a mouse.
Which operating system should I use?
The supplied microSD card comes with Raspberry Pi OS, the official operating system, already installed. To reinstall it or switch to another system, use Raspberry Pi Imager, as explained in our guide to flashing a Raspberry Pi.
Can I add an NVMe SSD?
Yes, thanks to the PCIe 2.0 port of the Pi 5 and the HAT+ M.2 Compact, designed to fit inside the official case with a 2230 SSD.
