Description

The Sonoff SNZB-03P is a wireless motion sensor running on Zigbee 3.0, designed to detect presence quickly and reliably. Ideal for enhancing security or automatically triggering scenes in a home automation setup controlled by a Raspberry Pi.

Accurate detection

Thanks to its passive infrared (PIR) sensor, it detects motion up to 6 metersaway, with a viewing angle of 110°. It reacts in a flash to trigger your automations or alert systems, perfect for hallways, entrances or critical areas.

Ultra-low power consumption

Powered by a battery, it offers several years of battery life thanks to its energy-efficient design. It stays in standby, using very little power, and only fully wakes up when motion is detected.

Compact and discreet

Its design blends in: small, light and understated, it mounts easily with adhesive or a bracket. It fits elegantly into a smart home without visual clutter.

Smooth Zigbee communication

Compatible with Zigbee 3.0 gateways (Zigbee dongle or hub on Raspberry Pi), it instantly sends detected motion events. You can respond locally via Home Assistant, Node-RED or any other MQTT manager, with no cloud dependency.

Smart home automation use

  • Enhanced security : receive an alert as soon as motion is detected (mobile notification, email, chime).
  • Automatic lighting : automatically turn on the lights when someone enters a room, then switch them off after a set period of inactivity.
  • Energy management : switch off equipment or systems when no presence has been detected for several minutes.
  • Custom scenes : e.g. triggering a light or sound wake-up when someone enters the bedroom in the morning.

Monitoring and operating status

The sensor can be configured to report its status regularly (battery, Zigbee signal, activations), which is useful for monitoring its condition and planning its replacement.

Robustness and reliable battery life

Designed for reliability and durability, the SNZB-03P combines long range, low power consumption and adaptability, ideal for a local home automation system that requires little maintenance.
