Description

Visit PCIe to M.2 card with PoE (HAT+) destination Raspberry Pi 5 is a multifunctional extension combining network connectivity (via PoE), ultra-fast storage interface (M.2 NVMe) and additional power outputs, all in a compact, protected format.

Network connectivity + PoE power supply

Compatible with IEEE 802.3af/at PoE standards, this card enables the Raspberry Pi 5 to be powered via a single Ethernet (PoE) cable. This simplifies installation and reduces space requirements. It accepts an input range of 37 to 57 Vdistributes up to 4.5 A at 5 V via GPIO and 2 A at 12 V via an additional terminal.

M.2 NVMe expansion and ultra-fast storage

It features an integrated M.2 Key-B SSD NVMe compatible2230 and 2242 formats). Thanks to the PCIe (Gen2/Gen3) interface, it's possible to boot the system directly from the SSD, offering a significant improvement in read/write performance.

Connection via HAT+ interface

Attached via a 16-pin PCIe cable and the standard HAT connector, this card respects the HAT+ format, freeing up the GPIO connector for other uses or extensions. It integrates perfectly with other compatible modules.

Integrated cooling & monitoring

An active fan and metal heatsink are integrated to maintain a stable component temperature. A dual LED (Power, Activity) allows immediate monitoring of operating status. Holes in the PCB facilitate optimum ventilation - particularly useful with a Raspberry Pi active cooler.

Integrated expansion ports

In addition to network and storage connectivity, the board features auxiliary headers for delivering 5 V up to 4.5 A or 12 V up to 2 A to other peripherals (displays, accessories, etc.), reinforcing its versatility as a power hub.

Versatile use and applications

  • PoE IoT router or gateway mobile connectivity with local storage.
  • Stand-alone station server profile, media profile, surveillance profile for areas without USB adapters.
  • Industrial systems centralized power supply and rapid storage in a protected enclosure.
  • Portable projects with PoE power supply, silent, well-cooled module and on-board storage.

Easy, safe assembly

The module is ready to use, complete with support plate, fan and heatsink. Simply connect the PCIe cable to the Raspberry Pi 5, attach the HAT+ module to the board, and you're ready to go. Automatic identification via EEPROM guarantees plug & play compatibility.
