ABX00181) is a single-board computer for embedded AI and robotics. It has two processors working together: a Qualcomm Dragonwing IQ8 running Ubuntu for vision and AI models, and a microcontroller STM32H5 to drive motors and buses in real time.

The main processor reaches up to 40 TOPS on its NPU, with 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM, 64 GB of eMMC and an M.2 connector for an NVMe SSD. The microcontroller runs the Arduino core on Zephyr for motor control, CAN-FD, PWM and GPIO. The two exchange data through a built-in bridge, which avoids combining two boards.

Everything runs locally, without a connection. Arduino App Lab, preinstalled, brings together Arduino sketches, Python scripts and containerized AI models in a single application. Docker and apt are already available, and you can also work with VS Code or your own Linux tools.

Highlights

Two processors on one board: Linux for AI, real time for action.

Local AI: library of optimized models, including Qwen, Gemma, Whisper, Piper and YoloX, according to Arduino.

Your own models: import in GGUF format via llama.cpp, or training in Edge Impulse.

Ready for robotics: ROS 2 compatible, real-time CAN-FD and PWM, 3 MIPI CSI camera inputs.

Cooling included: heatsink and fan supplied with the board.

Three ways to work: as a standalone computer, connected to a PC, or remotely over the network.

Use cases

Mobile robots, drones and arms: vision-guided manipulation and visual SLAM.

Quality control: automated inspection with vision models run on site.

Industry: predictive maintenance, process automation, energy monitoring.

Teaching and research: computer vision, generative AI, embedded systems.

Technical specifications

Manufacturer reference: ABX00181

Processor : Qualcomm Dragonwing IQ8 (QCS8275), 8 cores, Adreno 623 GPU, Hexagon NPU up to 40 TOPS

Microcontroller: STM32H5F5, Arm Cortex-M33 up to 250 MHz, 4 MB of flash, 1.5 MB of RAM

RAM : 16 GB LPDDR5 (2 x 8 GB)

Storage: 64 GB eMMC; M.2 Key M 2230 connector for NVMe Gen 4 SSD, not bootable

Network: Tri-band Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, 2.5 Gbit RJ45 Ethernet

USB : 1 USB-C with video output, 2 USB 3.0 Type-A, 2 USB 3.0 on JOMEGA connector

Video: 1 HDMI, DisplayPort output via USB-C, MIPI DSI on JMEDIA connector

Cameras: 3 MIPI CSI connectors, USB cameras supported

Buses: 1 CAN-FD with transceiver on screw terminal, 4 CAN-FD without transceiver, I2C/I3C, SPI, UART, PWM

Expansion: connectors for UNO shields, 3.3 V Raspberry Pi style 40-pin connector, Qwiic connector

Power supply: USB-C PD 20 V up to 3 A, 5.5 x 2.1 mm barrel jack 12 to 24 V up to 5 A, screw terminal 7 to 24 V

Operating temperature : -10 to 60 °C

Dimensions : 160 x 100 x 25.8 mm, excluding heatsink and fan

Compatibility and what you need to know

Arduino states compatibility with UNO shields and, through the 40-pin connector, with Raspberry Pi HATs. This connector follows the mechanical format of HATs and uses 3.3 V logic. This does not guarantee software support: check that a given HAT has drivers usable on this system.

Plan for a power supply of 60 W or more for heavy loads (AI, USB peripherals, expansions), as recommended by Arduino. On the barrel jack, Arduino cites 12 V, 5 A or 24 V, 3 A. The M.2 connector is for data storage: the board does not boot from the SSD.

Box contents

1 Arduino VENTUNO Q board, with heatsink and fan

Arduino does not mention a power supply with the board: plan for it separately, along with the cables, screen and cameras according to your use.

See also the Arduino UNO Q, all our Arduino boards and the Arduino brand.

Frequently asked questions

Which operating system is installed?

Ubuntu, preinstalled on the main processor, with Arduino App Lab.
